Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism, visited Çanakkale Journalists Association Chairwoman Hafize Akıncı in her office on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 13.00. Head of Journalism Department Prof. Dr. Şakir Eşitti and faculty members Assoc. Dr. Engin Çağlak and Res. Asst. Zeynep Ayer Öztok attended the visit.

At the meeting, information was given about the activities, events, projects and academic publications carried out by the Department of Journalism to date. In addition, exchanged opinions between the Department of Journalism and industry representatives on the development of student-based activities and the support of students' work fields related to their departments by external stakeholders.

Conferred on updating the curriculum in the context of the needs of the sector and digitalization. The meeting, where suggestions were shared to provide internship opportunities for students to gain experience, ended after discussions on the production of joint events and projects.
