Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism visited T.R. Directorate of Communications Çanakkale Regional Director Tuncay Güven in his office on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 11.30. During the visit, Head of Department of Journalism Prof. Dr. Şakir Eşitti, faculty members Assoc. Dr. Serhat Çoban, Assoc. Dr. Arif Yıldırım, Assoc. Dr. Engin Çağlak and Res. Asst. Zeynep Ayer Öztok was present.

Within the scope of the meeting, information was given about the activities, events, projects and academic publications carried out so far within the Department of Journalism. Within the framework of the relations between the Department of Journalism and industry representatives, ideas were exchanged on the development of student-based activities and the support of students' work fields related to their departments by external stakeholders.

In addition, information was exchanged regarding the updating of the Department of Journalism curriculum in the context of the needs of the sector and digitalization. Support for developing internship opportunities for students to gain experience was also discussed at the meeting.

The meeting ended after an exchange of views on the production of joint activities and projects.
